New Timbers: Red Bean & Mango
Here are a few photos of logs arriving from Mackay Queensland at the Boutique Timbers farm.
Red Bean (Miva Mahogany, Dysoxylum mollissimum) is an easily worked cabinet timber which is reddish brown with creamy sapwood. Mango (Mangifera indica) (although better known for its fruit) also makes a fine wood for gentle furniture and craftwood.
