Spotted Gum (Corymbia Spp.)

Spotted Gum is the highest volume native Australian Hardwood harvested in Queensland. It's distinctive wavy grain which is resistant to splitting makes it useful for tool handles, structural work and flooring. This flowing golden grain with sections of fiddleback makes it a lovely timber for furniture makers. In colour often golden with tints of light reds and browns. With a dry weight of 1010kg/m^3 (12% moisture) is one of the heavier timbers.

Northern Silver Ash (Flindersia Bourjotiana)

Northern Silver Ash is a pale straight grain timber useful for all manner wood crafts include furniture making, joinery, wooden tools, and turned pieces. It's grain is open and straight with few knots or defects. It's colour ranges from a creamy white to soft and pale yellow perfect for a contrasting timber or when a near white colour is desired. The boards from this log are up to 400mm wide.
